The Large Text setting on your iPhone and iPad can make it easier to read things. And there’s a well-hidden benefit to the Large Text accessibility setting. You can get large font pop-ups for the status bar information, like the time and date.

I use Dreamweaver for my Contextures website, and leave that program open all the time. The main reason for leaving it open is because Dreamweaver takes a long time to start again, after it’s been shut down. And over time, it takes longer and longer – up to several minutes. I finally found a solution to that problem, and am posting it here, so I can remember the fix for next time!
Do you use an ad blocker in your browser? Recently, I got fed up with pop-up ads, while looking for recipes – are cooking sites the worst? So, I installed an ad blocker add on, and things did not go well.
When was the last time that you took a black and white photo? My first camera, way back in the dark ages, was black and white, but I’ve taken colour film and digital photos since then. This week’s photo challenge took me back to the past, thinking about black and white photos, and computers too!
A couple of weeks ago, I got a new iPad, because the old one was acting strangely. It shut down a few times a day, for no apparent reason, and it was “jumpy” sometimes, when responding to taps. I like the new iPad much better, and it cost less than the old one did!
An announcement for an Introduction to R course arrived in my inbox recently, so I checked it out. The course is free, and offered by the Knight Center for Journalism. There are lots of tweets about R, and how awesome it is, so I signed up. Did I make a big mistake, or will this be a good investment of my time? Will it complement Excel?
