You could use this to make images for your blog, or for personal projects.<!--more--><\/p>\n<h3>Quick iPhone Trick Remove Background<\/h3>\n<p>Last week, I learned a new iPhone trick, that lets you extract a person, or other things, from the background in a photo.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Note<\/strong>: I&#8217;m not sure if this photo trick only available in the latest iPhone iOS update, or it it&#8217;s in earlier iOS versions too.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I&#8217;ve listed the steps below, so you can try this simple technique to extract a person from a photo, without any of the background clutter.<\/p>\n<p>This technique doesn&#8217;t always work perfectly, but it&#8217;s a quick and easy way to grab what you need, and leave the rest behind.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/puppypicture01.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"290\" height=\"394\" title=\"puppy picture with background removed\" style=\"border: 0px currentcolor;background-image: none\" alt=\"puppy picture with background removed\" src=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/puppypicture01_thumb.png\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>How to Get Person without Photo Background<\/h3>\n<p>Further down the page, there are a couple of examples from my photo extracting experiments.<\/p>\n<p>If you&#8217;d like to try this quick iPhone trick here are the steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>On your iPhone, go to the Photos app, and tap a picture with a person featured in it.\n<ul>\n<li>Tip: This also works with non-people pictures, as you can see in my experiments, below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Tap on the photo again, so it&#8217;s the only thing showing on the screen\n<ul>\n<li>The scrollable mini-photos are gone from the bottom of the screen<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Next, press your finger on the person&#8217;s face for a second or two (they won&#8217;t feel a thing)<\/li>\n<li>While pressing your finger, you should see a white outline flash around the person&#8217;s image<\/li>\n<li>Stop pressing on the face<\/li>\n<li>When a pop-up menu appears, click the &#8220;Share&#8221; option\n<ul>\n<li>Tip: To cancel, click anywhere on the background, away from the menu<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Then, in the list of Share options,&nbsp; click Save Image, to store it with your other photos\n<ul>\n<li>OR, choose another Share option, if you prefer<\/li>\n<li>OR, click the X at the top right, to close the Share options window<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Once you have the clipped image saved, you could use it on its own, or add it to another photo.<\/p>\n<h3>Not Quite Perfect<\/h3>\n<p>This photo background remover did a great job, most of the time. Sometimes though, it kept a few pieces that I didn&#8217;t want.<\/p>\n<p>For example, if there were two people in a photo, sometimes it extracted one, and sometimes it extracted both of them.<\/p>\n<p>However, that&#8217;s a minor problem, and you could easily delete the unwanted parts in a photo editor.<\/p>\n<h3>Use Images for Business<\/h3>\n<p>After you save images without background clutter, you could use them to create images for your website, or other business projects.<\/p>\n<p>For example:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paste your photo onto a solid-coloured background<\/li>\n<li>Then, save the image, and use it as your profile photo in social media accounts<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>OR<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Paste your photo onto the custom thumbnail image for a <a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/2010\/07\/06\/add-captions-to-a-youtube-video\/\">YouTube video<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>That adds a personal touch to the thumbnail, without any clutter<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Fun with Photo Collages<\/h3>\n<p>When the business day is over, you can have fun with this <a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/2018\/12\/05\/how-to-stop-iphone-photo-videos\/\">iPhone photo<\/a> trick, to create collages, or have other photo fun.<\/p>\n<p>As I discovered, you aren&#8217;t limited to people pictures! As you can see in the puppy collages below, I had lots of fun experimenting with that iPhone trick, using photos of my son&#8217;s adorable cockapoo.<\/p>\n<p>First, I added the puppy to a photo that my husband took, when he arrived at the Arctic Ocean, for the summer solstice in June 2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/puppyarcticocean01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"468\" height=\"356\" title=\"puppyarcticocean01\" style=\"border: 0px currentcolor;background-image: none\" alt=\"puppyarcticocean01\" src=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/puppyarcticocean01_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Later, I clipped a few more puppy photos, that were taken over the past 3 years, with a variety of puppy facial expressions, and fur lengths.<\/p>\n<p>The puppy is always cute, even when he&#8217;s dripping wet, while enjoying a day at the beach (bottom right)!<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/collage_puppy01-Copy.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"470\" title=\"iPhone cropped photos in puppy collage\" style=\"border: 0px currentcolor;background-image: none\" alt=\"iPhone cropped photos in puppy collage\" src=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/collage_puppy01-Copy_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<h3>Make a Floral Collage<\/h3>\n<p>Next, I tested the iPhone trick, to see if it would work with floral photos too.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see in the next collage, the iPhone did a great job of removing the backgrounds in flower pictures.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Even with a complex structure, like the Bleeding Heart plant at the top left, the image was beautifully extracted.<\/li>\n<li>And look at the Stargazer lily in the centre, with its delicate filaments cropped so beautifully!<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope you can find business uses for this iPhone background remover trick, or use it for personal projects, to help you relax in your off-work hours.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/collage_flowers01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"470\" height=\"470\" title=\"iPhone cropped photos in floral collage\" style=\"border: 0px currentcolor;background-image: none\" alt=\"iPhone cropped photos in floral collage\" src=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/collage_flowers01_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>________________<\/p>\n<h3>Remove Photo Background with Easy iPhone Trick<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/iphonephotocroptrick01.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"400\" height=\"200\" title=\"Remove Photo Background with Easy iPhone Trick\" style=\"border: 0px currentcolor;background-image: none\" alt=\"Remove Photo Background with Easy iPhone Trick\" src=\"https:\/\/debradalgleish.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/iphonephotocroptrick01_thumb.jpg\" border=\"0\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>________________<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, I learned a new iPhone trick, that lets you extract a person, or other things, from the background in a photo.
